Having a great profile makes you easier to find.
Here are a few tips to start you on the way to optimize your SoundCloud profile.
Make locating your profile easy by ensuring your username is correct.
Your username and URL can be changed separately, and edited in Settings.
Display the username as you would anywhere else, making sure to include spaces and capital letters.
It will help optimize placement in search results, look better in audio embeds, and will ensure your audio is easily recognized in third party apps.
Your profile image enables you to stand out and makes it easier to identify a profile as being official.
Tip: SoundCloud works best with 200 x 200 square images.
Include links to your artist and/or label websites and social networks.
Access the Advanced Settings tab and add your social links to save time when sharing your sounds to other social networks like Twitter, Facebook, Tumblr, G+ and Pinterest.
Your SoundCloud sounds list is like an activity stream, so your newest sounds are always on top.
However, if you’re a Premium user who has a few older sounds or sets that you want to highlight, Spotlight will make sure they’re what your new fans always see first by pinning selected sounds and sets to the top of your profile.
Connect with fans, other artists, and labels on SoundCloud.
Optimize visibility for an artist profile by following their associated labels and vice versa; remember to follow others so they follow you back – this a great way to increase followers and expand your reach.
